Born at Tampa General I grew up in
Temple Terrace Florida.
It all started when I got my first
record album. It was from Sears and it was 'Meet The Beatles'. That's where it all began! It's their
fault. I knew then and there
"I" was gonna be the next 'John Lennon or maybe Sir
Paul'...NOT! But at least I tried! I talked my Dad into buying me a
guitar and amp at the tender age of 13. He got me a
Gibson ES 123 and a Fender concert
amp. I really
wanted to be a Rocker. I guess I owe that to The Beatles.
My first band Black Mountain
Stash was terrible!.. But I did get to play in my high school gym..... In 1972 I started a band called
2nd
Guess with Bob & Dick Gross
and Doug
Marsh. 2nd Guess lasted 5 years with
additional help from Tim
Gross, Bobby Reed,
John Lintner and
Jerry Anderson.
After
graduating from USF in 1978 I met TC
and his band called Traveler.
It occurred one night at the 'Other Place' in the Northgate
shopping center. It was an all-you-can-drink night. TC was drunk and
he invited me to join
the band. They we're from Georgia, so I left town for over 4 years and I never looked back.
The
Traveler story is in detail on Tim's bio page. Click
here.
After the band broke up in 1984 I came
back to Tampa and got a day job...
I put together Ted's
Old House Recording Studios and went to work. TC
would come to town every few months and we would write and record
songs together. Bobby
Reed, one of the finest
keyboard players in the Tampa Bay area, also would come over and write
with us. I also was involved in a duo called the
Blister
Brothers with one of my good friends Jerry Anderson.
To hear some of the Blister Brother's original songs click
here. We've recorded over 150 songs in the last 15 years.
I started recording and producing
CD's along the way. As a result, my biggest claim to fame (besides my own stuff) is a
CD by Kelly
Emerson called 'Big
Daddy's Barn Burner Blues'. The
complete CD was made at Ted's Old House. Top of the line players, songs, production,
design and reviews.
Tim, currently is living back in
Georgia .. But TC and Randy still plays occasionally so check
out the gig
page.......
